DIY Mac & Cheese
This Facebook Live event is all about a night at home, enjoying the “old fashion” ways of the American family, with the addition of the Carriage House Cooking School on your computer screen of course.
Chef Curtiss will kick off the evening crafting a delicious Maple Old Fashion cocktail.
The Old Fashion is the bar standard cocktail for many reasons. It is a simple cocktail rooted in technique and craftsmanship of the bartender (sorry mixologist these days). Folk lore has its origins with James Pepper, a bartender at the Pendennis Club in Louisville, Kentucky, later bringing it to New York City and the Waldorf Astoria (another common folk lore is that it originated at the Waldorf). Regardless of origins it is a classic and will always be that.
Post libation Chef Curtiss will prepare a family sized batch of Macaroni and Cheese and show you how it can be tweaked at the end to accommodate the entire family and their individual food preferences.

On Friday, May 29, 2020, Chef Curtiss will take to Facebook to discuss the variation strategy and what you can do to cook along side.
